TT 1 with slab and table Mock up

Table Tennis is going outdoors in Monbulk

The Monbulk Table Tennis group made it through COVID and we’re back playing regularly.

That’s great – it’s a game I love and it’s been a lovely way to have some fun and make friends. (And it’s why I founded the Monbulk Table Tennis Club in 2014.)

And now we’re going outdoors, thanks to a grant from Monbulk Care Network.

The Monbulk Care Network have decided to make an investment in community wellness and wellbeing, and are providing most of the funding for the installation of an outdoor table tennis facility in the grounds of the Monbulk Hub (opposite Woolies).

Additional funding and support comes from Table Tennis Monbulk Association Inc, Integrity Health and the Yarra Ranges Council (who are funding the concrete slab).

The result is an additional outdoor, COVID-safe recreational space for individuals and families that can be freely accessed throughout the day and into the evening. The table has been chosen for its toughness, including an all-weather surface with competition-rating bounce. It will have a permanent stainless steel net.

The Club is providing bats and balls, which we hope will be available from Reception at the Monbulk Hub. However you will be able to BYO bats and balls and use it even when the Hub is closed.
